Embracing Better
Being the best implies that there never was, is currently not, nor never will be any alternative that is better.
Sure, depending on a particular metric, something may be the best now, but THE BEST? That is debatable.
Teams win championships and are crowed the best team, but even that is not permanent. Eventually, another team will win.
How does this translate?
There is no BEST leader.
There is no BEST organization.
There is no BEST anything.
However, there are many BETTERS.
To focus on being the best is the safe route. Because it can't possibly be measured objectively and in perpetuity, it gives you an out.
Committing to better takes courage. It requires daily commitment.
Better is harder than best because it is real.
