Sliding To The Middle

If your organization has the ability to allow top leaders to focus on fostering and excelling at delivering the "why" by rethinking the systems in place to deliver that promise, it is a real asset.

It may be one of the best investments an organization can make.

If the senior leader is responsible for everything but cannot evolve systems and delegate to address everything, the results will always end up sliding towards the middle - the space defined by the individual leader's capacity to affect results.

Of course, your organization may be seeking the middle. The middle is comfortable. It is safe. It is predictable.

The middle is also always in danger of becoming irrelevant.

Leadership density and investing in better, more creative systems is future proof.

Slipping and sliding towards the middle may feel different, but the results are often the same.
